Heart to Skin ~ My Sweetest LOVE YOUR SKIN Tips

It's February and sweet love is in the air more than usual it seems. Everywhere we go there are decorations with hearts, chocolates, balloons, fresh flowers, and entire rows of stores devoted with Valentine card selections! That is not a bad thing. Imagine if hearts and fresh flowers adorned shops and public places all year long....might be kind of nice!
Love is fun to celebrate and it's not just the "romantic" kind of love that is celebrated these days. Valentine's Day is a celebration of the heart, and the love we share with family, friends, and OURSELVES. The latest buzz word phrase everywhere lately is finding your "self-love", right? You've heard it! So, embrace it, find what makes your heart happy inside and out, and take a peek into my favorite skincare tips that connect the HEART TO SKIN. Treating the skin to health and love is a great way to soften and nurture the tender heart. I hope you enjoy!

My Sweetest LOVE YOUR SKIN tips

#1 SMILE. If you don't want to, do it anyways. FAKE IT! Why? Because it can relieve stress which can show up in our faces. Smiling helps prevent us from appearing tired, stressed, or overwhelmed. What can a smile do once it is in place? Studies have found that engages the muscles around the mouth, and around the eyes as well. Smiling has also been found to be a good antidote to passing over a negative mood. Smiles have also been shown to be contagious! :-)

#2 CIRCULATION. Cleanse skin from the inside by finding activities that increase your body's circulation. By increasing blood flow, circulation helps carry away waste products, including free radicals, from working cells. The movement works to flush cellular debris out of the system which in turn, cleanses skin cells and keeps them vital. The top two ways to increase circulation for skin health include 1) any kind of exercise (my favorite lately being lots and lots of YOGA; and 2) massage (facial or whole body massage). Facial massage can be performed during every single skincare application, so take advanatage of your hand to face time as you apply!

What do you think about the heart to skin connection? Have you felt it before, have you noticed a difference from incorporating smiles, massages, and exercise into your daily life?
I'd love to hear from you!
